Oh My!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The last couple weeks have been incredibly hectic, but for all good reasons!\u00a0 As many of you know, Anime Boston was last weekend.\u00a0 The store I work for, Comicopia, has a large booth at the show, and part of my responsibilities is helping with ordering and organizing what we bring, who our volunteers are, and how things get displayed.\u00a0 The month leading up to AB is honestly a lot more work than being at the show and selling the books!\u00a0 That&#8217;s the fun part &#8212; this past Wednesday, in fact.\u00a0 I spent the day&#8230;well, going to work and unpacking manga, honestly, haha.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t so bad, and my husband and I went out for Japanese barbecue afterwards which was\u00a0<em>great<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-49 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/test.mangamaven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/29790073_10155778052001725_4883735307154882560_o.jpg\" alt=\"29790073_10155778052001725_4883735307154882560_o\" width=\"284\" height=\"382\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mangamaven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/29790073_10155778052001725_4883735307154882560_o.jpg 1072w, https:\/\/mangamaven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/29790073_10155778052001725_4883735307154882560_o-223x300.jpg 223w, https:\/\/mangamaven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/29790073_10155778052001725_4883735307154882560_o-762x1024.jpg 762w, https:\/\/mangamaven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/29790073_10155778052001725_4883735307154882560_o-768x1032.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 284px) 100vw, 284px\" \/><br \/>\nAnd now, all the manga is unpacked and counted, I&#8217;ve figured out what needs reordering, and we can get back to business as usual at work for a little while!\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been pleased to note that some more obscure titles have been selling lately in the store, and I hope that we can continue to fill that niche for customers!<br \/>\nBit of an announcement before I pop off: at 4pm today I&#8217;m taking part in the third installment of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCkOb12lCgERK0Du2CzU58Mg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Black Manga Critic&#8217;s<\/a>\u00a0&#8220;Women Talk About Anime &amp; Manga&#8221; series!\u00a0 We&#8217;re going to be discussing Nagata Kabi&#8217;s\u00a0<em>My Lesbian Experience With\u00a0<\/em><i>Loneliness<\/i>, published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.\u00a0 Joining us on the panel tonight will be the manga&#8217;s translator, Jocelyne Allen, whose insights I&#8217;m really looking forward to hearing!\u00a0 I hope some of you will have a chance to watch that, whether it be live as it airs or after the fact.<br \/>\nI promise that since life has settled down a bit more, I&#8217;ll actually get to posting some manga-specific content, not just &#8220;day in the life of a Manga Maven&#8221;
